Today two rumors about the upcoming Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie have surfaced from We Got This Covered.

First and foremost, we have learned that the villain of the Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie is none other than Mewtwo, which shouldn’t be a surprise for those of you who have played Detective Pikachu on Nintendo 3DS. It’s said that the movie will show Mewtwo’s backstory and how he became a villain, and as usual there’s a human villain who wishes to take control of Mewtwo.
The next and final rumor claims that Warner Bros. Entertainment is now planning a spin-off film of Pokemon Detective Pikachu that will feature Mewtwo.
Keep in mind all these rumors are unverified at this point of time so take it with a pinch of salt.
