Pokemon Scarlet And Violet are a little over a month away, but there is still much about the games that have yet to be revealed.

One piece of information that many have on their mind is the number of Pokemon that will be available in the games. Previously, it was confirmed that Pokemon Scarlet And Violet would once again have a limited number of Pokemon available in the games, as with Pokemon Sword And Shield and other recent entries into the franchise.

According to credible leaker @Riddler_Khu, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet will have around 400 Pokemon available in the game at launch, going a step further to hint that there will be 297 returning Pokemon and 103 new ones. He also implied that there could be an additional 40+ Pokemon or forms available through some other means, possibly through transfers via Pokemon HOME, which will likely come some time after the game’s launch.

For reference, Pokemon Sword And Shield also launched with about 400 Pokemon in the base game, with 35 being added through HOME transfers, and 421 added via DLC.
