The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has publicly released yet another new filing from Nintendo that has garnered excitement from fans.
The filing was shared and discussed on Famiboards by @LiC, and is for a wireless controller with Bluetooth and NFC capability. Due to this, it is believed that this is likely to be the official Pro Controller for the Switch 2. This iteration uses a different battery type from past Pro Controllers, and also includes a headphone jack. The latter feature is one that has been heavily requested by fans for years, so this would be very exciting if accurate.
That said, we caution readers to take this information with a grain of salt, as it is not 100% confirmed that the patent is for a Pro Controller. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
