Over the past month, the internet has been flooded with leaks about the Switch’s successor, which Nintendo has yet to officially reveal as of this writing.
The latest rumor comes via a notorious leaker going by Kang, who is infamous for leaking projects from tech giant Apple. Kang allegedly hinted that actual units of the Switch 2 are circulating under the table, with a cryptic statement that “the real console is available for trying on accessories”, but he is reluctant to do so himself despite holding a position in his own accessory company.
Kang’s statement is eerily similar to comments made by accessory maker Genki at the CES 2025 showfloor, where they reportedly also commented that the Switch 2 is available to purchase on the black market. Genki later retracted these statements, presumably due to legal pressure from Nintendo.
As these rumors continue to intensify, one wonders when Nintendo plans to do their official reveal of the console. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
