Rumor: Switch 2 CAD Leaker Claims to Have Obtained Real Hardware
Last month, Nintendo officially revealed the Switch 2, after many weeks of leaks and rumors swirling around the console.
One of the most well-known leaks came from a user on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu. This leaker shared images of a CAD model of the console, months before any official information had been shared. With the official reveal of the console, we now know for certain that these leaks were legitmate.
Now, the same leaker has returned with a bolder claim. As shared by Necrolipe, the Xiaohongshu leaker is claiming that they have gotten ahold of actual Switch 2 hardware, and is urging accessory makers to reach out for more details.
Accessory makers have so far been designing their Switch 2 accessories based on mockups, and will most likely be interested in seeing the real console for comparison. One such accessory maker Genki previously commented that the Switch 2 is already available on the black market, which is presumably where the Xiaohongshu leaker would have gotten his hands on a unit.
That said, as with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take this claim with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
