Rumor: Switch Successor Has Begun Mass Production, Will Be Called “Switch 2”
A few months back, Nintendo officially announced that a successor to the Nintendo Switch was in the works, with more details set to be announced sometime this fiscal year.
A new rumor has now surfaced, shared by Famiboards by user fwd-bwd. This info was reportedly obtained from a Chinese forum poster claiming to be involved in production for the console. According to this poster, the console is indeed going to be called the “Switch 2” and has entered mass production. It will include black and white Joy-cons, and have the number “2” printed on the side.
“This is brand new info from a Chinese forum poster who didn’t have an insider track record, therefore the following is strictly for fun and giggles. Switch 2 production has started in [somewhere in China, which I don’t want to translate] 1000 units per day [Edit: This is one worker, not the whole line.] Slightly larger than Switch 1 Smaller bezel Black and white Joy-Con Slightly larger logo, with “2” on the side”
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
