For the past few months, rumors have been circulating that Nintendo is preparing to launch a successor to the Nintendo Switch, possibly as early as this year.
According to the latest batch of rumors, we could be seeing an official reveal of this new console soon. These rumors come via supposed industry insiders NateDrake and Necro Filipe, who have reportedly shared correct info in the past.
The first major claim is that Nintendo is planning to officially announce the Switch’s successor in March 2024. This move would coincide nicely with the end of Nintendo’s fiscal year, and would allow the company to freely talk about the console to investors during their annual briefing.
The second major claim is about a new Nintendo Direct this month, which will air as early as next week and be a Partner Showcase. This will supposedly be the last Nintendo Direct presentation focused on the original Switch, with the next major direct coming after the new console’s reveal.
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
