Earlier this week, a slip up from Nintendo UK had everyone convinced that the 4th DLC Fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would be someone from an SNK game.
To recap, Nintendo UK accidentally published a listing for Smash Ultimate’s 4th DLC character pack that mentioned SNK in its copyright credits. Although the listing has since been taken down, the damage had already been done. Fans quickly began speculating which character from SNK’s most iconic games could be coming to Smash as DLC.
Today, a new rumor has surfaced pointing to a character from SNK’s King Of Fighters series. Vergeben, a credible leaker who previously leaked Simon and Ridley during Smash Ultimate’s prerelease put up a cryptic post on Gamefaqs. No words accompany the post, but it links to an image of King Of Fighters star Terry Bogard executing a few of his fighting moves.
Naturally, fans are already taking Vergeben’s word as true, and that Terry Bogard is indeed the next DLC fighter coming to Smash. However, we caution our readers to be skeptical of rumors of this nature. We will report back on this story when official word from Nintendo about Smash Ultimate’s 4th DLC character is released.
