Sakurai Discusses The Creation Of Smash Bros. Character Trailers
Masahiro Sakurai talks more about making fighter reveal trailers in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In a Weekly Famitsu magazine article, Sakurai says that a great number of people are required to assemble the gameplay parts of the trailer. His goal is for the footage to be as close as possible to the final build. Staff that works on the game are usually responsible although sometimes members of the Mario Club assist on the production
Synchronizing the sound effects and music work is hugely important since the gameplay parts of the trailer are typically not fully choreographed since the Computer Generated Imagery is expensive.
Sakurai says the CG parts are worth the costs, although the last DLC didn’t include any.
Sakurai expressed that he is “deeply grateful” to work put into the trailers.
