Following his retirement, E3 attendees won’t be seeing Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aimé grace the show-floor this year. However, it looks like another superstar will at least be present to ease the pain.
Actor Samuel L. Jackson (i.e. Nick Fury from the MCU movies) will apparently be showing up at E3 this year. Hilariously enough, he announced that he will “kick ass and take names” in Reggie’s stead – which is in reference to Reggie’s own introductory speech when he first became Nintendo of America’s president in 2006.
Check it out below.
For comparison, here is Reggie introducing himself to the world in 2006.
While Reggie won’t be at gaming events as often these days, it’s good to see that his spirit lives on in the entertainment industry somehow. Let’s hope E3 2019 will be an amazing time next week, even with his absence!
