Earlier this year, D3 Publisher and developer Shade announced SAMURAI MAIDEN, a new sword-fighting action game heading to Switch and other platforms. Well, you can now mark your calendars for the game’s release!

Both companies have confirmed that SAMURAI MAIDEN will be launching first in Japan on 1 December 2022, followed by a global release on 8 December 2022. While the game will receive a physical release in Japan, it will be a digital-only release in the west.

As reported previously, the game follows a high school student who falls asleep after her history lessons – only to wake up in ancient Japan, where she takes up a samurai sword. Check out the latest trailer below:
