Earlier this year, SEGA teased that they had some “exciting news” to share for the 30th Anniversary of the Sonic series in 2021.
Although the exact details remain unknown, the company has recently provided some additional hints as to what they might have in store.
In an advertisement for investors published in Licencing Source Book Europe, SEGA stated that 2021 would be “a year of celebration” for the Sonic series, featuring “new games, digital content, events, major announcements and a tailored licensing programme”.
If SEGA’s planned announcements are anything like what Nintendo is doing for Super Mario this year, fans are certainly in for quite the treat. We will be sure to bring more details as they come.
