When the “Asia English” version of Shining Resonance Refrain was released in Southeast Asia last month, players were shocked to find that they were unable to download the free Japanese voice pack or purchase DLC from the eShop, even if they have a North American or Japanese Nintendo Account.
Since July, SEGA Asia has been slowly working on a patch to resolve this issue. On August 10, the company said the patch has been approved by Nintendo and they are now preparing for release. It’s been 7 days since the last update and we have not heard from SEGA Asia ever since.
“Shining Resonance Refrain” Asia “English Version” released for Nintendo Switch on July 11th, have been working on Asia “English Version” 1.01 patch for Japanese voice package for users in areas inaccessible to the Nintendo e-Shop. Nintendo’s check has successfully passed and now we’re preparing for the release. The announcement is expected to be made soon. Please wait for the further details upcoming.
The Shining Resonance Refrain fiasco has been a big shock to players living in the region, prompting some to purchase future SEGA and Atlus releases directly from the US.
