Slay The Princess: The Pristine Cut Launches October 24th 2024

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer Black Tabby Games have announced the release date for Slay The Princess: The Pristine Cut.

The popular indie visual novel will receive its definitive release on October 24th 2024, adding new characters, story paths, and a new ending. Check out the trailer below, along with additional details:

About

The new Pristine Cut edition of Slay the Princess is the definitive release of the beloved title and brings a host of brand-new content to the psychological visual novel, including:

  • New content totaling 35 percent more gameplay, including:
    • Three brand new chapters.
    • Never before seen princesses.
    • Expansions to familiar routes.
    • An entirely new ending.
  • A gallery to relive your memories, triumphs and untimely deaths throughout Slay the Princess’ many encounters.
  • Over 1,200 new frames, hand-illustrated by Abby Howard.
  • Over 2,500 new lines of dialogue fully voiced by Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.

You’re on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.

You’re here to slay her. If you don’t, it will be the end of the world. She will do everything in her power to stop you. She’ll charm, and she’ll lie and she’ll promise you the world, and if you let her, she’ll kill you a dozen times over. You can’t let that happen.

You do care about the fate of the world, right?

From the creators of Scarlet HollowSlay The Princess offers a horror experience where player choice has drastic consequences. In this game, you will die a lot. And every time you die, the game starts over, only things are a little different: the cabin, the princess, even the voices in your head. What you choose to believe, and how you act on those beliefs, has the power to shift the story in dramatic directions. Next time you see the princess, will she be a normal princess, or will she be a 10-ft tall demon? No matter what reality you fall into, every background and sprite is beautifully hand-penciled by Ignatz award-winning artist Abby Howard and perfectly captures the eerie atmosphere and shock of surprising moments.

Originally released on Steam in October of 2023, Slay the Princess has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews. With the new content coming to the game, returning players will have plenty to sink their teeth into, while new players will have the unsettling, tragicomic horror experience of a lifetime.
