Slay The Spire Devs Acknowledge Multiple Bugs With Switch Version, Patch On The Way

Developer Mega Crit has shared a new update on Slay The Spire following reports of several bugs and issues with the game on Switch.

Among other problems, the Switch version of Slay The Spire has received multiple reports of frequent crashing during gameplay, sometimes immediately upon startup. According to Mega Crit, they are fully aware of these issues and have already sent out a patch for approval.

You can check out their full statement from Reddit below:

Hey everyone, we are aware of the various bugs that have been reported and have been hard at work directly with the porters to get everything fixed and improved.

A large patch with numerous bug fixes and performance improvements will be going out for console approval tonight. We will be doing everything possible to fast track this process so it gets into your hands ASAP.

In the mean time, please report any console issues here to immediately send them to our porters: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfKYaYv-t_AtrxMPuOcTPd7Q3MflpWdcENltupWls65FgzOng/viewform

Leaderboards will be coming in a followup patch not long after.

EDIT: For those who have their game crashing right away on startup – other users have reported the following two solutions have worked for them:

  1. Clearing all the Slay The Spire data on your Switch and trying to download again.

  2. Selecting a completely different profile on the switch and launching on that profile should solve it.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
