Back in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there was something called Snake’s Codecs, where Snake spoke to his allies in the Metal Gear Solid series about a fighter he’s encountered on the stage.
Dataminers have confirmed that Snake’s codec conversations have returned to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the very first time in 10 years. However, there’s a huge catch to this.
Unfortunately, the codecs only appear to exist for characters that appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, meaning that no new lines were recorded for characters that didn’t appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Either way, it’s a consolation prize.
