Someone Sold An Unreleased Copy Of Super Mario Party For 7000 Dollars

We have some strange news about Super Mario Party today, releasing for Nintendo Switch on October 5, 2018.

According to Spawn Wave, someone sold a copy of the game for USD7,100 during an eBay auction. It seems that the eBay seller only had the Game Card in hand, and did not have the case for the game. We have a photo of the Game Card below:

Although the listing has been taken down at the time of writing, we’ve found a video of the seller playing the game, proving that the Game Card he has is real. Here’s a video:

Now many are scratching their heads wondering how this person managed to acquire a copy of Super Mario Party two weeks before launch. We speculate that the Game Card he had was stolen from a factory (Nintendo of America packs their games in the United States), which explains why he does not have the complete packaging.

Another theory is a Nintendo employee could have misplaced the Game Card in a public place, and he was lucky enough to spot it. Perhaps the biggest question is who is willing to spend USD7,100 to buy a game that’s coming out in 2 weeks.

UPDATE: Seller claims he found it at an airport.
