Yesterday, SEGA and paramount officially lifted the lid on the Sonic movie’s sequel – simply titled Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It’s not just Sonic fans who are looking forward to the new film, however!

Former SEGA developer and Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka has also shared his feelings about the upcoming sequel. In particular, he noted with enthusiasm that Tails will be making an appearance in the movie (as teased by its logo), and added that he was really excited now that the film’s release date of 8 April 2022 was confirmed.

“I’m looking forward to the Sonic 2 movie. And as expected Tails is going to appear now. The release date has been confirmed too, so I’m really excited.”
