SEGA has announced that Sonic Frontiers has crossed a major sales milestone.
As revealed on Twitter, the new open-zone entry in the Sonic The Hedgehog series has cross 2.5 million copies sold worldwide, reportedly making it one of the fastest selling Sonic games in recent memory.
This announcement was shortly followed by the release of a free demo for the game on the Japanese Switch eshop. This free demo will allow players to enjoy about 15 minutes of gameplay before shifting players back to the main menu. Players living outside of Japan will have to create a Japanese account on their Switch to get access to this demo.
