Almost one year ago, SEGA formerly announced Sonic Origins – a new collection that will bring together several classic Sonic the Hedgehog titles. While specific details about the new title have been sparse so far, it looks like we might be hearing more from SEGA very soon!
Classification boards in both South Korea and Australia have posted new listings for Sonic Origins with the ratings of “All Users” and “G” respectively. This is usually a good indicator that preparations for the game’s official release are already in the works behind the scenes.
Additionally, PlayStation users have discovered what appears to be the official key art for Sonic Origins from the PlayStation Network. As seen below, the full artwork features Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Eggman, and Metal Sonic:
As reported previously, Sonic Origins will include Sonic The Hedgehog 1, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, as well as Sonic CD – along with unannounced bonus features. Currently, the game has only been announced for “modern consoles” with no specific platforms revealed yet.
We’ll report back as we hear more in the future. Stay tuned!
