Following the announcement of its release date, Nintendo has updated the official store page for Splatoon 3 with some important new information.
Scrolling to the bottom of the page, Save Data Cloud is included in the list of Switch Online features that will be supported by Splatoon 3. This means that players who are subscribed to the Switch Online service will be able to back up their data in case their Switch gets lost, stolen, or broken.
This news is quite significant for Splatoon fans in particular, as the previous entry Splatoon 2 did not support cloud saves, meaning that fans were at risk of losing all of their unlocked gear and game progress if something happened to their Switch. Thankfully, it seems that will not be something they have to worry about with the third entry in the series.
Splatoon 3 launches on September 9th 2022 for Switch.
