Following trademarks for ‘Collection of Mana‘ in Japan, it looks like Square Enix has also registered for the same name in Europe!
The listing recently popped up on the European Union Intellectual Propety Office’s website on 31 May 2019. While details are sparse, the trademark is distinctly for a videogame and related merchandise (such as dolls, guidebooks, etc.) – so all of this looks genuine. Check out some screenshots below.
As speculated by many, Collection of Mana sounds like a localized title for Seiken Densetsu Collection – which originally launched for Nintendo Switch in Japan. Seiken Densetsu Collection contained the first three Mana titles, which included Secret of Mana.
If this trademark is really a sign of things to come, we could be seeing English versions of all the Mana games worldwide! We’ll report back when we hear more.
