Super Mario Bros. Movie Artists Share Concept Art For The Film
Last year, Nintendo and Paramount released the Super Mario Bros. Movie to theaters, which captured the hearts of fans and newcomers alike for its striking visuals that faithfully translated the games’ universe to the big screen.
Providing some insight into this process, some concept art from the movie has been shared online by two artists who worked on it. They are Travis Ruiz, art director at Paramount, and Megan, a fellow illustrator. The art gives us a look at the development of the film’s depiction of Mario bros’ home city Brooklyn, as well as the fantastical world of the Mushroom Kingdom they find themselves in.
