Super Mario Bros. Movie Crosses $500 Million To Become 2023’s Highest Grossing Film

After claiming the title of biggest animated film opening of all time, the Super Mario Bros. Movie has crossed another major milestone.

As of this writing, the Super Mario Bros. Movie is now the highest grossing film of 2023 at $659 million worldwide, beating out the previous holder Ant Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. This figure also makes the film the second highest grossing animated film released since 2019, only behind Minions: The Rise of Gru at $942.5 million.

Given that the film has yet to release in Middle East, Korea and Japan, it is likely that the movie will eventually surpass Minions and take the crown. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
