It looks like Mario and friends will be wielding an new addition to their arsenal when Super Mario Maker 2 hits Nintendo Switch in June 2019.
Namely, the Japanese version of the recent Direct features a small glimpse at a new “Hammer” power-up. Unfortunately, we never get to see it in action – so its function or effects are still unknown. Observers and fans are now speculating what the Hammer really does, and whether it references the original Donkey Kong or even Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker!
