Famitsu has published the sales rankings for September 2 to September 8, 2019 in Japan.
Monster Hunter: World – Iceborne came in at No. 1 and No. 2 on the charts last week, with Super Mario Maker 2 at No. 3 selling 18,296 copies. Super Mario Maker 2 has sold 602,970 copies in Japan as of September 8.
Astral Chain, which debuted No. 1 the prior week, dropped to No. 6 on the charts. The game moved 9129 copies, bringing its lifetime total to 41,365 units. It could have done better if not for the shortages.
Finally, the Nintendo Switch moved 77,392 systems last week, thanks to the launch of the updated model with longer battery life. That’s a small drop-off from the 90,000 systems it sold the prior week.
