A few weeks ago, Nintendo had sadly confirmed that online play in Super Mario Maker 2 would only be limited to random people and you would not be able to play with your friends.

This upset many fans but now it seems Nintendo has listened to feedback as during the Nintendo E3 Treehouse it was revealed that they will now be adding online play with friends.
