Super Nintendo World Japan Celebrates Its First Anniversary
Super Nintendo World Japan, which opened last year in Universal Studios Japan on 18th March 2021, celebrated its first anniversary this week.
On the day of the anniversary, the park held a special celebration ceremony for the event. A marching band performed the Ground Theme from the original Super Mario Bros. at the Super Star Plaza, and the CEO of Universal Studios Japan J.L. Bonnier made an appearance alongside Mario and Luigi to thank everyone for supporting the park over the past year.
As an added bonus for park guests, from now until March 31st, visitors will be able to obtain a limited edition first anniversary sticker at the park. They will also be able to use their Power Up Band and Universal Studios Japan app to obtain special stamps.
Finally, Universal Studios Japan is holding a Twitter contest where fans can win a chance to visit the park for free. Players will have to guess the number of 1-Up mushrooms present in the image of the post in order to qualify.
