Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Has Beaten Splatoon 2 To Become Japan’s Bestselling Switch Game

A couple of hours ago we shared with you the final Media Create results from last week in Japan, and there was something we overlooked.

As of the week of March 18, 2019, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has overtaken Splatoon 2 to become the bestselling Nintendo Switch game of all time in Japan. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s lifetime sales are currently at 2,974,153 copies (+21,008 units), while Splatoon 2 is behind at 2,970,723 units (+7891 units).

Looks like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has finally broke Splatoon 2’s No. 1 bestselling Switch game streak in Japan, and it will most likely continue to do so in the coming weeks.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
