A special web tournament called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Japan League has been announced in Japan.
The tournament is special for two reasons – the rules allow items to be used, and the tournaments will be streamed live from January 2019 onward. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate East Japan League will be streamed on niconico, while Super Smash Bros. Ultimate West Japan League will be streamed on OpenRec.tv.
