Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Blurred Menu Option Has Been Figured Out

During the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct this morning, we had a first look at the game’s menu.

The game’s menu includes a green section that’s blurred out. While Masahiro Sakurai said that green section will be talked about at a later time, someone has figured out what it is.

Twitter user l’attardé‏ zoomed in and slowing down the video frame by frame discovered the blurred out section contains the word “Spirits”.

In the Japanese trailer, the word スピリッツ is also visible, which stands for “Spirits” in English.

This has led to speculation that the green option is for a Story Mode that has something to do with spirits. Adding on to that is the fact Luigi became a ghost in the first few minutes of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct.
