Nintendo has confirmed the contents for the free Switch 2 updates that are being released for select Switch 1 titles, separate from the more elaborate paid Switch 2 Editions titles.

These free updates are mostly for better frame rates and visual optimizations, along with support for some Gamechat features. Free Switch 2 updates are available for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, ARMS, Super Mario Odyssey, and more.
