Switch 2 Worldwide Sales Crosses 23 Million Units, Outpacing Switch 1 Sales During Same Period

Nintendo has published their latest earnings report, revealing some updated sales numbers for their hardware and software.

According to their report, the Switch 2 has now crossed 23.68 million hardware and 58.17 million software units sold as of June 30th 2026. The baseline Switch has crossed 156.59 million hardware units and 1,561.95 million software units sold.

Nintendo claims in their briefing that these sales “compare favorably to the adoption trajectory of Nintendo Switch”, with a chart showing that the Switch 2’s sales are outpacing the Switch 1’s during the same period of its life cycle. This is in spite of overall sales for the Switch 2 falling compared to its launch, likely on account of the price hike and other global trends.
