Nintendo has published their latest consolidated financial results for the six months ending September 30th 2021, revealing some updated sales numbers for their hardware and software.
According to their report, the Switch has sold around 92.87 million units worldwide as of September 30th 2021. 8.28 million of these Switch units were sold over the last six months leading up to September 30th. This brings the console that much closer to the Wii’s lifetime sales, which sit at 101.63 million. As for software, Nintendo sold 93.89 units of software over the past six months, bringing the total up to 681 million units.

With this current trajectory, it seems that the Switch may surpass the Wii’s lifetime sales quite soon. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
