In an interview with The Washington Post, Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils Aime promises fans that they are working to put as many Nintendo Switch and SNES Classics on the shelves as possible for the holidays. This comes as both consoles were the Nintendo Consoles Take 1st And 2nd Place In October US Hardware Sales.
Though that may be nice to hear, there’s an unfortunate catch to it. As the Nintendo Switch is in high demand, Nintendo is not keen on giving any Black Friday, Cyber Monday or other holiday discounts.
“We are not discounting the Switch,” Fils-Aimé said. “We’re focusing on making sure we have robust supply at retail.” So apart from a couple of bundles featuring cases themed to hit games “Super Mario Odyssey” and “Splatoon 2,” there aren’t additional holiday discounts from Nintendo.
