Tencent Nintendo Switch Prices Remain Stable In China Despite Shortages Worldwide

Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, the Nintendo Switch has become one of the most highly sought after products as they could keep people entertained during quarantine. This has led to massive shortages in every corner of the world.

One exception, though, is China. Prices for the Tencent Nintendo Switch, the official Nintendo Switch system for China, have continued to remain stable. Some sellers have even dropped their prices below the MSRP to USD249.

The reason shouldn’t be surprising though – the Tencent Nintendo Switch is unable to access the global Nintendo eShop, and does not offer online play with other players worldwide. The Chinese Nintendo eShop only offers three games at this point of time, as compared to thousands available in other regions.
