Tencent Switch Removes List Of Games “In Active Preparation”
Earlier this week, Tencent announced that they would be shutting down the Switch Online service in China in 2026, which will stop players from purchasing digital games and using online features.
As a follow-up to this news, it seems Tencent intends to pull the plug on adapting games for their version of the Switch entirely. As shared by Chinese Nintendo, Tencent has quietly removed list of games “in active preparation” on their official website. This list previously included titles such as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and Paper Mario: Origami King.
The list of games "in active preparation" has also been removed from Tencent Nintendo Switch's software lineup page.

In order to comply with regulations, only officially approved games are allowed to be sold on the Tencent Switch eshop. Presumably, since they are planning to close this service, Nintendo and Tencent no longer see a purpose in pushing more titles for approval.
Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
