The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been out for close to a month, and is about to cross another major milestone.
According to multiple reports, the Super Mario Bros. movie is on track to cross $1 Billion globally by the end of this weekend, its 26th day in release. It is estimated that it will pull in $37.5 million domestically in the US for a running tally of $487.5 million, and bring in $69 million overseas for a cumulative $533 million. Combined, this would make up overall earnings of $1.02 billion globally.
By breaking this milestone, it will not only further cement the Super Mario Bros. movie’s position as the highest grossing film of the year, but also make it the number 1 animated film released since 2019, and the 4th biggest film since 2019 in terms of global ticket sales, joining the ranks of Jurassic World Dominion, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
