Sales tracking website VGChartz has published some new findings about the Switch’s worldwide performance, revealing that it has officially surpassed the 3DS in sales.
According to their figures, the Switch has sold roughly 76,285,948 units (76.2 million) as of December 26th 2020. In comparison, the 3DS family of systems sits at 75,906,986 units (75.9 million). It is a true testament tot he Switch’s success, especially considering the 3DS took 10 years to achieve its sales numbers, and the Switch crossed it in just 4 years.
After beating the 3DS, the Switch’s next target on the list of its predecessors is the Gameboy Advance, which sold around 81.51 million lifetime. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
