Reddit user Clawsandtalons, a huge fan of Pokemon, embarked on a mission to create life size Pokemon statues that are true to their original design in the video games.
The first ever statue, Lapras, was built in 2017. It took Clawsandtalons 121 hours over a span of 25 days to create the gigantic statue. The statue is made of low density foam and newspapers, which cost roughly USD400 altogether.
This year, Lapras is joined by even more Pokemon friends – Rapidash, Rayquaza, Jolteon, and Trapinch. They are currently on display at Anime North 2018.
Unfortunately, Clawsandtalons has no intentions of selling any of their Pokemon statues to respect Pokemon’s Intellectual Property owners. However they’d still be making more Pokemon statues in the future!
