After the third party dock fiasco, Nintendo Switch owners have discovered that their third party LAN adapters aren’t too safe with their systems either.

A Reddit user who uses a HORI LAN adapter has noticed that his Nintendo Switch, which was docked in Sleep Mode, was warm to the touch. Upon disconnecting the LAN adapter from the dock, his Nintendo Switch Console was no longer heating up in Sleep Mode.

It is believed if the Switch is left warm in Sleep Mode over a long period of time, the battery lifespan of the console could be damaged. There is currently no fix for the bug yet. Nintendo highly recommends users to avoid third party accessories.
