The Pokemon Company has confirmed that Pokemon Legends Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition can be played on Nintendo Switch.

According to the game’s official website, players can also enjoy Nintendo Switch 2 Edition titles on Nintendo Switch. While the gameplay contents are completely the same, performance and visual upgrades provided via the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack cannot be accessed when playing on Nintendo Switch:

※You can also play Nintendo Switch 2 Edition software on a Nintendo Switch system. The gameplay contents are exactly the same as Nintendo Switch software, but additional content that takes advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2’s power cannot be accessed.

In addition, the company also confirmed that similar to past Pokemon games, players can select the language of the game inside the game itself:

※When played on a Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese-Language System (Japan Only), it is possible to select the language inside the game.
