German Nintendo fansite nTower has published a lengthy interview with Suda51, the creator of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.
Suda51 revealed to nTower several interesting details. First, he revealed that the game was inspired by David Cronenberg’s “eXistenZ”, an Italian movie called “Nirvana,” and Hotline Miami. The game received a Mature rating for its foul language, and there’s not much gore in it.
In the game, players will have to collect 24 skill chips, some for Travis and a few for Bad Man. You’ll get to choose 4 chips to take with you when entering a game world. Suda51 expects players to complete the game in about 10 hours, and mentioned that it’s being developed with Unreal Engine 4.
Finally, Suda51 revealed that he originally wanted Travis to travel to the world of various indie games, but due to licensing issues, it wasn’t very practical and the idea was scrapped.
