Undertale’s Toby Fox Shares Thoughts About Working With Gamefreak And Meeting Sakurai
Earlier this week, we learned that Undertale developer Toby Fox received the honor of being involved in not one, but two major titles for the Nintendo Switch: Little Town Hero and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Following the reveals, Toby Fox took to Twitter to share his thoughts about being involved in both projects. In a series of posts, he shares a bit about what it was like compose for Little Town Hero with Gamefreak, as well as his meeting Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai in Japan.
Check them out below:
On Little Town Hero
Though it was a very small team, I felt a lot of passion from the people working on it. I'm looking forward to finally trying the game myself and seeing how it turned out!”

On Super Smash Bros. Ultimate & Meeting Sakurai
Yes. It's true. You'll be able to buy a Mii Gunner costume of Sans in Smash Brothers Ultimate later today! It'll come with a special arrangement of Megalovania composed by me. It's a huge honor to have something I created in Smash. Thank you so much Mr. Sakurai!!! pic.twitter.com/eKDhwSKOJj

I didn't have a translator with me so I had to use my own broken Japanese to talk about Smash. It was one of the most surreal (and fun) experiences of my life. I'll never forget it.

Its hard to believe that just a few short years ago Toby Fox was relatively unknown outside of his work on Undertale and Homestuck. We can only imagine how he feels getting a chance to work with game industry veterans like Gamefreak, and even have his characters & music in Super Smash Bros!
