Universal Epic Universe Won’t Confirm Plans For Legend Of Zelda Expansion Despite Including Decor And Merch

Following the opening of the Donkey Kong Expansion, many fans have been wondering what other Nintendo franchises Super Nintendo World might be tackling next.

Out of all of Nintendo’s properties, The Legend Of Zelda stands out as the most likely candidate for a Super Nintendo World expansion. Not only was series producer Eiji Aonuma seen in promotional videos for Epic Universe, but the park itself has several decorations featuring the series.

As documented by Nintendo Life, the newly opened Nintendo store at the Epic Universe Super Nintendo World features Legend Of Zelda stained glass windows, floor tiling, and even merch. The publication also noted that no other Nintendo franchises (e.g Pikmin, Splatoon, Animal Crossing) had merch available at the store.

That said, Nintendo Life seemingly was unable to find anyone from Universal who would confirm that a Zelda expansion was being planned for the park. The publication speculates that they may perhaps be waiting for The Legend Of Zelda movie to be released, scheduled for Early 2027.
