A few moments ago, Nintendo that they would release announced an updated model of the original Nintendo Switch with longer battery life worldwide.
Following the reveal of the Japanese and Asian release window of this updated Switch, we now know when it will be launching in the West. For North America, the updated Switch will release in late-August 2019, roughly the same time as for Japan and Asia. Europeans however will have to wait a little longer, and can expect to get their hands on the updated model in September 2019.
