Atlus has published new episodes of their “Daily Demon” series introducing demons featured in Shin Megami Tensei V.
The episodes this time focus on Megami Ame-no-Uzume and the Jirae Hua Po, showing off their designs in the game and some of their moves. You can watch both videos below, along with an English translation posted by Zeruel4891 in the comments:
Megami Ame-no-Uzume:
A goddess of entertainment of Japanese myth. She is in charge of many ritual dances, like requiems and oracles. In order to call out Amaterasu, who locked herself in a cave, she stripped herself (TN: The expression used here, “hitohada nuida,” is an expression meaning to help out with a bit of effort. The text here, though, says that she literally does so, which is to “strip to her skin”).
Jirae Hua Po:
A tree spirit of Chinese lore that dwells in trees in which several people have hanged themselves. It takes the appearance of a beautiful girl in white clothes, but is much smaller than normal person. It does not speak, but has a voice as clear as small birds.
Shin Megami Tensei V launches November 11th 2021 for Switch in Japan and November 12th 2021 worldwide.
