Vivox SDK To Be Supported On Nintendo Switch, Allows Native Voice Chat Without Switch Online
Vivox has announced its SDK (software development kit) will be supported on Nintendo Switch soon.
Vivox is a SDK that allows video game developers to add voice chat and text chat to their multiplayer games. Besides chat services, Vivox is used for cross-platform play between platforms such as Xbox One, PC, and very soon Nintendo Switch.
One of the games that currently use Vivox is Fortnite, which supports native voice chat without the need of using the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app. In the future, Paladins and SMITE will support native voice chat the very same way.
