Voice Actor, Roger Craig Smith, Will No Longer Be Voicing Sonic

Recently on Twitter, the English voice actor for Sonic The Hedgehog, Roger Craig Smith, revealed that after 10 years of voicing the blue blur, he will no longer be voicing Sonic in future media for the series.

This is quite unfortunate to see as Roger Craig Smith has been voicing Sonic for around 10 years in games such as Team Sonic Racing, crossover games such as Super Smash Bros Ultimate, series such as Sonic Boom and even movies such as Wreck it Ralph.

Check out what he shared below:

Welp, 10 years was an amazing run.

Onward to new zones!

Much love to the fans who’ve been so kind.

It’s been an honor.
SEGA has yet to announce who will be the new voice actor for Sonic but fans are speculating that it will likely be Ben Schwartz, the voice actor behind Sonic in the recent Sonic movie, as his performance was very well received.
