The Voice Of King Koopa In Super Mario Bros. Cartoons Has Passed Away

You may not know who Harvey Atkin is, but if you’re a Super Mario fan, you may have heard his voice in the past.

Harvey Atkin, who voiced King Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. animated shows, has passed away at age 74.

Harvey was the only individual given the chance to voice King Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. cartoons. He first took up the role in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, which aired in 1989, and continued on for The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 in 1990. He would return once more to voice King Koopa in The New Super Mario World series in 1991.

Our sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of Harvey Atkin.

Iggy
